IRRIGATION:

The HOA’s primary source of irrigation water comes from surface water in the ponds.  Additional irrigation water shares from Pioneer Ditch Company, LTD are sent through an inlet at the main entrance of the subdivision. The common theme DSI has heard this year is we are in for another challenging irrigation season and homeowners are encouraged to conserve water and maximize their watering schedules to the best of your ability. Remember, newly planted lawns will need more water to establish root systems, but if this is the second year of growing, you may need to adjust your sprinkler clocks and reduce the amount of water you feed your lawn. There are some great resources available on YouTube and to Treasure Valley residents through Idaho-based companies, like Zamzows.

Irrigation Season is April 15th-Oct 15th.  Even though the irrigation season begins April 15th through Oct 15th, the irrigation districts can turn water on early or shut off water early depending on if the water levels are too high or too low.

IRRIGATION STATUS: Turn on should be week of 4/15/24.  Water should be available to homeowners later that week.

To report common area irrigation emergencies after DSI`s regular business hours, please call Power Enterprises at 208-461-4670.  This phone number is for emergencies after normal business hours only!

10/18/22 Shut Off Notice

WINTERIZING IRRIGATION SYSTEMS

HOA Responsibility - winterize common area irrigation

  1. HOA Landscaper will shut off irrigation pumps and will winterize the main line and the common area sprinklers.
  2. HOA will have an independent Pump Contractor winterize the irrigation pump.

Homeowner Responsibility - winterize your own home`s irrigation system.

  1. Shut off your Pressurized Irrigation (PI) valve off to your irrigation system.  There is a circular cylinder in the backyard that you will need to turn off. You will need to use an irrigation key and shut off the PI valve.  This shuts off your home`s irrigation from the HOA`s main PI line.  You can purchase an irrigation key at stores like Home Depot, D&B, Lowes, etc.
  2. Call a landscaper, get on their schedule now for sprinkler blowouts.  This year`s HOA Landscaper will not be able to offer any residential winterization services as they are completely booked.
